This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I was so relieved after book 16 that the series was finally over。 For quite a few books it was a very different feel from what got me hooked initially。 When I heard a book 17 was releasing and that it was Mike's "lost journals" I thought that maybe we would be getting some excerpt from earlier in the story。 Instead it was just more of the same military-style missions that don't progress any overarching plot with none of the family and no real Talbot-y "I will save me and mine and you won't stop I was so relieved after book 16 that the series was finally over。 For quite a few books it was a very different feel from what got me hooked initially。 When I heard a book 17 was releasing and that it was Mike's "lost journals" I thought that maybe we would be getting some excerpt from earlier in the story。 Instead it was just more of the same military-style missions that don't progress any overarching plot with none of the family and no real Talbot-y "I will save me and mine and you won't stop me" that made the earlier series so enjoyable。Just generally disappointed that the series has continued this long and is now leaving a sour taste in my mouth。 My advice is stop after book 8 because it's a really nice story arc that only leaves you with a few hanging questions。 Continue through book 12 if want some vampire closure, but other than that I don't understand why the story is still going。 There will be an 18 and I am pot committed at this point so I will read it。 Hopefully it can break out of this rut and end with a little dignity。 。。。more

One for the fansA couple of new ideas but a lot of the old。 But I guess we like the old or we wouldn’t still be reading 17 books later。

I showed a great amount of restraint by spreading book 17 out over the last five days。 when I first started listening to this series, I would listen to a book in a day and a half。 I know that I'll be waiting for months for the next book to be released so I wanted to savor every moment。 I know that I sound insane, that's okay because I probably am。 I definitely know that I'm crazy for Tufo's Zombie Fallout series。 They have the perfect amount of humor, action, gross out, camaraderie and character I showed a great amount of restraint by spreading book 17 out over the last five days。 when I first started listening to this series, I would listen to a book in a day and a half。 I know that I'll be waiting for months for the next book to be released so I wanted to savor every moment。 I know that I sound insane, that's okay because I probably am。 I definitely know that I'm crazy for Tufo's Zombie Fallout series。 They have the perfect amount of humor, action, gross out, camaraderie and character depth to draw you in and keep you wanting to know more。 I enjoyed the addition of Wilkes and Mack to the storyline。 They add that extra little something to the story。 Sean Runnette is Mike Talbot! His narration is absolutely perfect for this series。 。。。more
